Domain Self Launch
Domain self-launch gives you control over your website launch process in a new section on the general settings page.
There are now 4 options available for domain management:
Connecting an existing domain
Purchasing a domain through GoDaddy
Editing the .getbento subdomain
Launching the website.
Connecting an existing domain
Navigate to Settings > General and locate the Domains section at the top
Click âConnect Domainâ then select âConnect a domain I own elsewhereâ. Click next to advance to the next window. Enter your domain without âwww.â and click verify.
If GoDaddy is your registrar you will be prompted to login using your credentials and the configuration will be automatic. Otherwise, make sure to configure forwarding using the recommended settings from the domain provider.Â
Here are general instructions for a registrar not listed above:
Login to your domain registrar.
Locate the DNS settings for your domain.
Delete any existing âwwwâ A records.
For @ A records, use the IP address 151.101.1.75
For the CNAME, use the alias www and the host fast.getbento.comÂ
Since different domain registrars handle these settings differently, some questions may arise. Submit a request and weâll be happy to help.
Navigate to Settings > General and locate the Domains section at the top
Click âConnect Domainâ and select âPurchase a custom domainâ and click next. You will be redirected to GoDaddyâs domain purchase flow.
When complete, you will return to the General Settings page. It can still take up to 48 hours for the connection to take place, but in this flow, everything is automatically configured, and no additional action is needed.
