Checkless Payments Overview

Checkless Payments is a guest-focused, seamless payment solution designed to enhance the dining experience by removing the traditional wait for the check. Instead of signaling a server or waiting for a bill, diners can simply leave when they’re ready—no interruptions, no delays.

• Card on File: When a diner makes a reservation or joins a waitlist*, they securely save their payment method in advance.

• No More Waiting: After the meal, the restaurant processes the payment automatically using the saved card—no need to request the check.

• Early Guest Engagement: The experience begins before diners even arrive. Through a branded enrollment journey, diners can preview featured menu items, seasonal specials, or upcoming events, helping them feel more connected and informed.

• Operational Efficiency: By reducing steps of service like check drops and payment processing, staff can turn tables faster and often serve more diners. This means more revenue and a smoother flow of service.

• Frictionless Departure: Diners who opt into Checkless Payments enjoy a smooth, uninterrupted exit, making the end of their meal feel effortless.

Checkless Payments is built to work seamlessly within Clover Hospitality. To enable this friction-free experience, you’ll need the following:

• Clover Hospitality POS: This ensures that once a diner is enrolled, their status is visible to both the host and the server. The POS flags Checkless diners, allowing staff to deliver a more personalized and elevated experience.

• Clover Hospitality Reservations: When a diner makes a reservation or joins the digital waitlist*, they’re automatically prompted to enroll in Checkless Payments.

• Diner Enrollment: Diners opt in during the booking or waitlist* process, securely saving their payment method.

With these tools in place, Checkless Payments becomes a fully integrated part of the diner's journey—from arrival to effortless exit.
