How to add a menu
Edited

BentoBox offers a few ways to add menus to your site. Itemized menus, which are recommended, allow you to add each item on your menu separately in the backend. With itemized menus it’s easy to add new items and update existing ones without having to worry about formatting. With itemized menus, you can simply drag and drop to reorder menu items or whole sections.

Itemized menus are displayed using HTML. As a result they load quickly and look beautiful on all devices, whether it’s a computer, tablet, or mobile phone. They are also good for search engine optimization (SEO), as search engines like Google are able to parse the wording of each menu item, which helps visitors find your site through search.

You can also add menus by uploading a PDF or JPG menu that will download to the visitor’s device. This lets you ensure your menus look exactly like they would in your restaurant, although they can be slower to load and more difficult to view on devices with smaller screens. PDFs are not easily indexed by Google and other search engines; JPGs are not indexed at all.
