Changing itemized menu layouts
Edited

Itemized menus allow you to choose the preferred layout for your desktop menus. BentoBox lets you choose between “One Column”, “Two Columns” and “Three Columns”.

Note that all of our built-in themes have a responsive design; this means that on mobile devices, itemized menus will display based on their column order, regardless of their desktop layout. For example, all items in column one will appear first, then column two, followed by column 3.

Changing layouts:

Log in to the BentoBox backend and click on Content Boxes, then select “Menus” from the dropdown list. Hover over the menu you want to update and click the edit icon that appears.

Then, choose a layout from the dropdown in the settings column to the right:

Reordering Menu Sections

To reorder the menu sections, click on the arrows next to any of the menu sections for the modal to prompt.

Now you can drag and drop by clicking and dragging the grid icon to the left of each section.

When switching layouts, the menu sections need to be reorganized/reordered for the changes to display.

For example: switching from 2 or 3 columns to “one column” will stack the menu sections back together but, if you revert from “one column” to 2 or 3 columns, you will need to reorder the menu sections again.

Lastly, click “Preview”  to see the changes on your website before saving and click “Save” for your changes to go live.
