Voided Items Report

The Voided Items Report helps internal teams track and analyze items that were voided in the POS system. This report is essential for monitoring discrepancies, employee activity, and approval processes. Voided items are only relevant to POS transactions, not e-commerce, as a void is not an applicable concept in the e-comm space.

The Voided Items Report is found in the Location sub-navigation. 

• Navigate to Switch Location (if necessary) → Choose Location → Reports → Voided Items Report in the side navigation.

• Select Voided Items

The Voided Items report runs after closeout from 4:00 AM to 3:59 AM the next day. Users can change the date range by week, month, or choose the custom option.

Count: Number of voided items in the selected timeframe.

Amount: Total dollar value of voided items in the selected timeframe.

Top Voids by Item: Displays the top 5 voided items within the selected timeframe.

Detailed Voids Table columns include:

• Date of Void

• Item Name

• Amount (price of the voided item)

• Employee who voided the item

• Approver (employee who approved the void)

  • If the employee has manager access, their name may appear twice.

  • If not, the approver will likely be a manager.

The Total Voids and Voided Amount should match the figures in the Sales Report for the same timeframe.

• Not available for e-commerce (voided items concept does not apply).

• Account-level reporting is coming soon.

Q: Why can’t I see e-commerce data in this report?

A: Voided items are only relevant to POS transactions, not e-commerce.

Q: Why does the same employee appear twice in the approver column?

A: If the employee has manager access and can approve their own voids, their name will appear in both columns.

Q: What if the voided amount doesn’t match the Sales Report?

A: Ensure you are comparing the same date range and channel. If discrepancies persist, email us at support@getbento.com.
