Bento Book Lite offers two types of notifications:

  1. App notifications:

    • Push notifications

    • In-App notifications

  2. Email notifications

In each case, notifications will be delivered for the following three events:

  1. Booking created

  2. Booking modified

  3. Booking canceled

You can control the notifications you would like to receive via the App's Notification 'Settings'.

Please note that if you have accessed multiple venues on your device, you will receive notifications for every venue, regardless of the one you are currently logged into. If you do not want to receive messages for EVERY venue, please update your settings on a venue-per-venue basis.

 

App notifications are controlled by the device's OS (operating system - iOS or Android) at the highest level. This supersedes Book Lite's in-app settings. OS notifications can be turned on/off through the device's settings.

  • iOS: Settings > Notifications > Book Lite.

  • Android: Settings > Notifications > Book Lite.

If you would like to receive notifications but aren't, please ensure that notifications are enabled on your device's OS. Read more about the notification set up process here. 

 

App Notifications (push)

Push notifications will be delivered to your device when the App is closed (or running in the background) for the following three events:

  1. Booking created

    • Title: New Booking

    • Sample message: Fred Flinstone party of 2 on 10/11/2018 at 3:00 pm. | Booklite Grille

  2. Booking modified

    • Title: Booking Modified

    • Sample message: Fred Flinstone party of 2 on 10/11/2018 at 6:00 pm. | Booklite Grille

  3. Booking canceled

    • Title: Booking Cancelled

    • Sample message: Fred Flinstone party of 2 on 10/11/2018 at 6:00 pm. | Booklite Grille 

App Notifications (in App)

In-App notifications will be delivered to your device (as a small green or orange bar in the header) when the App is open for the following three events:

  1. Booking created

    • Title: New Booking

    • Sample message: Bob Dylan party of 2 on 11/2/2018 at 4:00 pm. | Book Lite

    • New bookings will be earmarked (for 5 minutes), so you can easily distinguish the new booking on your daily list.

  1. Booking modified

    • Title: Booking Modified

    • Sample message: Bob Dylan party of 2 on 11/2/2018 at 5:30 pm. | Book Lite

    • Modified bookings will be earmarked (for 5 minutes), so you can easily distinguish the modified booking on your daily list.

  2. Booking cancelled

    • Title: Booking Cancelled

    • Sample message: Bob Dylan party of 2 on 11/2/2018 at 5:30 pm. | Book Lite

    • Cancelled bookings will be earmarked (for 5 minutes), so you can easily distinguish the canceled booking on your daily list.

*If an in-App notification is clicked, the App will switch to the exact activity date on the notification.

**The in-App notification will automatically disappear after 30 seconds. You can also 'swipe up' to hide.

Email Notifications

Email notifications will be delivered based on the criteria established in the App's Notification 'Settings' and will include the following booking details (if available):

  1. Guest name

  2. Phone

  3. Date

  4. # of guests

  5. Email address

  6. Booking source
