How to accept an order, and mark orders as ready (Autopilot OFF)
When an order is received, it will first have the status of “New” in the Live Orders screen. At the same time, your guest will receive a notification that their order has been received, if the order is for later. For ASAP orders, the first order update your guest receives is a “your order is being prepared” notification, which sends once you accept their order.
On the Live Orders screen, you can perform three main actions with orders:
- View Order Details: You can click ‘View Details’ to learn more about any order in the Live Orders screen. This view is also accessible from the All Orders.
- Accept Orders: All orders with the status “New” will have the option to ‘Accept Order’. Accepting an order will update the status to become “In Progress” and the guest will get a notification that is being prepared.
It is important to only accept orders when you are ready to begin preparing them
- Mark as Ready: For orders with the status “In Progress”, you will see the option to ‘Mark as Ready’. This will send a notification to the guest, advising them that their order is ready for pickup. The order will then disappear from the Live Orders screen.
