How does BentoBox handle International Commerce?

Universal Checkouts

BentoBox allows integrations with Stripe, Square, and Clover to process all eCommerce transactions. If you are using a Store or Catering Store, during checkout users will have the ability to select from over 125 countries to set a billing address to facilitate the payment with an approved and valid credit/debit card. This is enabled when a user indicates they have a different Billing address than the shipping address.

Currently, BentoBox allows shipping domestically within all 50 U.S. States, and the District of Columbia, as well as all Canadian Provinces and Territories.

Below is an example of an item being shipped to the United States from a Canadian Store:

Here is the same transaction but using a Canadian Shipping destination instead:

Accepting Foreign Currencies

By default, all BentoBox Stores and Catering Stores are set up to process transactions (currency of the charge) in USD or CAD. Your default currency is set during the initial setup of your BentoBox website. However, payment processors will convert payments at the time of transaction between foreign currencies automatically. Therefore, BentoBox does not limit international users from purchasing items on your site. If you would like to change the default currency for your store at any time, please email support@getbento.com.

You can read more about this for Stripe payments here, Square payments here , or Clover payments here.
