New! Reporting Overview

The Reporting section in the backend provides real-time and historical data of transactions processed through BentoBox, which can be viewed as a quick snapshot in the Sales tab or exported via CSV. using the Sales Report Export tool.  

This guide will help you navigate and understand the new reporting section.

The new Sales Summary Report is located in the backend under the Reporting section on the left-side navigation bar, where the Sales Report Export feature currently resides.

1. Log into the backend

2. Navigate to the main Dashboard analytics section

3. To access the reporting section, you have two options:

   • Click the “view full reporting” link next to the Sales Snapshot

   • Scroll down the left-side navigation bar and click on “Reporting”

The Sales Summary Report is a clear snapshot of your BentoBox revenue, highlighting gross and net sales, as well as daily and hourly averages. Here you will be able to see an overview section and a Totals tab which can be filtered by locations, multiple commerce channels and customized date ranges. 

The Sales Report Export has multiple sections that reflect  sales data from the selected date range and is a quick way for you to gain insight into the different Store types located on your website. These include: Online Ordering, Catering, Merch, Tickets, Catered Events, Private Events and Payment Requests. By exporting an easy-to-read XLS report, you will be able to see the detailed breakdown of your revenue metrics, fees, tips, and top-performing items.

Gift card reporting is maintained separately from the sales reporting section to ensure consistency and prevent double counting of revenue. This separation allows for accurate tracking and management of gift card transactions, ensuring that they do not inflate overall sales figures.
